Forget about #LeniLeaks. There’s a new social media hashtag that’s going viral, thanks to the ingenuity and sense of humor of the Filipino, particulary Jovybev Aquino whose Facebook profile shows he lives in Doha, Qatar.
In his initial post, Aquino asked his followers to take the #Lumeleni challenge. “It’s very simple,” he says: “Get a bag and have your picture taken while waiting for an imaginary bus in the most absurd place possible. Puwede mag costume kung gusto nyo (You can wear a costume if you wish).”
The challenge is in obvious reference to a photo of Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo showing her waiting for a public bus in what was later determined to be a no passenger loading zone.
As of this writing, the #Lumeleni challenge has been “liked” by more than 3,000 people and over 400 photos — from men, women, cats and dogs — have been posted on Aquino’s page.
Remember a couple of summers ago, there was the ALS “Ice Bucket Challenge” that went viral the world over? Well #Lumeleni could be this year’s big winner!
What are you waiting for? Grab a bag and take a selfie!
(‘LumeLeni’ is loosely translated as “Trying to be, or act like, Leni)
