Vice President Leni Robredo says she would rather focus on her job than dignify allegations regarding her alleged involvement in a plot to oust President Duterte.
In the now infamous “LeniLeaks” controversy, the Office of the Vice President was alleged to have engaged some of Robredo’s supporters abroad in email conversations regarding a plot to oust Duterte.
“I’m not a part of that group,” the VP told reporters in Boac, Marinduque.
Robredo said she had been on the receiving end of fake news. “For me, as much as possible, I want to concentrate on my job, because I think there is a lot of viciousness now in the internet.”
Great, but which job?
She resigned her Cabinet post as housing czar late last year, and in a statement she made before a Filipino American audience shortly after she took her oath of office, she said the VP has only one job: to wait for something to happen to the president.
